Pros

good people in the trenches doing what they are told and trying to move the ball forward into the 21st century

Cons

poor leadership, really bureaucratic, no followup, no metrics, pie in the sky planning, owned by private equity so short term profit influences every decision

Does anyone actually get paid to work?

Pros

Credibility with large company. Media access to special events, concerts, conventions, press releases, etc. Looks good on your resume/portfolio. Exposure.

Cons

Pay is little or non-existant for online content folks. Photographers are rarely if ever paid for the work they bring to the table for the univision site. The company takes advantage of photographers who will do this work for free, whether they're on or off their payroll.
