Pros

Good support system for trainees

Cons

Took away remote work for many employees even though the pandemic is raging Pay is the exact industry median even though Unum is an extremely profitable industry leader Typical faux progressive corporate culture, i.e bringing in Trans speakers during pride month but also contributing half of their political donations to GOP Cringeworthy CEO check-ins where legitimate questions around pay and benefits are generally ignored while the executive suite plays like they're listening Overall not worth it for the money

Pros

The opportunity to work from home.

Cons

No training, inconsistent training, lack of trust, stringent audits that affect pay (despite lack of adequate training), favoritism, not an equal opportunity employer, in-person workers get to go t holiday parties while remote workers keep working, in-person workers get better training, in-person workers are promoted prior to the 18 months spent in position, PTO not allowed during holidays, but manager gets to take weeks off at a time. Tracking doesn’t account for system failures and training gaps.

Pros

Decent benefits package and full-time remote roles are available for entry level jobs only. (They have required all others to either come back to the office FT or conform to a hybrid schedule.)

Cons

They talk a lot about inclusion and diversity as well as accessibility but they do not back it up at all! The favoritism is running rampant and that paired with random layoffs of groups of employees without explanation, the near constant changing goal posts in production employee's daily expectations, and refusal to pay out complete PBI +rate increases to individuals in spite of the company's board determination make this a place to avoid if you're looking for long term success.
