      Pros

      - Fantastic benefits including 20 days of PTO from day 1 - Management focused on developing employees - Very accommodating of lateral transfers to gain new experiences - Excellent work/life balance - Opportunity for project work in addition to day-to-day responsibilities - Growth opportunities for those who seek it - Great people!

      Cons

      - Hierarchical structure - Although making strides to become more nimble/agile/quick to react, it is still a very large company with many layers and tight budget restrictions

      - approachable executives and management - thorough training program and mentoring of new employees - excellent benefits, including those for domestic partners - competitive pay - employee discounts in local area and on cellular service - quality cafeteria staffed by Aramark - community-centric company, so ample opportunity for volunteer and donation matching - laptop provided (in some positions) allowing to work at home - nearby parking garages where finding a spot is never an issue - willing to relocate you in other areas as opposed to you leaving the company

      - not the most up-to-date technology, sometimes runs slowly - large company, so you won't know everyone - dealing with some irate customers

      Great opportunity to hone and develop early sales skills and work with people who are top level in their firms. Very competitive salary when right out of college anywhere

      Cons

      Do well in New HIre school!!! As a Client Manager or Sales Rep trainee your entire future at Unum for sustainable success rests on that.
