Plenty of paid time off, good culture, opportunities for advancement for creative and driven employees, a budding movement toward openness and more modern workspaces, and superior work/life balance opportunities (work from home and alternative schedules)

Cons

Behind much of the industry technologically (way too many applications), redundant processes, hit-or-miss leadership with little accountability for devastating errors in many departments.

The company from a business standpoint is great! The people are great to work with, the benefits are fantastic and the talent that is still available at Unum is significant.

Cons

Within the IT organization, the politics at the senior management level is Stunning. The problem is so deep that it is almost impossible to deliver on projects due to the opinionated mentality of the various groups. Many of the senor managers are not willing to collaborate or partner to deliver results. This must change in the company.
