had potential once upon a time

Pros

some areas have improved over the years: - HR used to be some of the worst in corporate america, this seems to have leveled off at least some - individual teams / members / middle managers can be excellent people, just be careful - facility teams work very hard to make the offices nice - remote workers get a lot of support and preference for computer issues - larger offices get good support too... some exceptions... - benefits good considering some factors... but... - always stocked with food and snacks if that moves the needle at all for you

Cons

- upper management does not care about you, all you are is a piece of meat that might move a number from 0.01 to 0.02 - CEO is angling more for RTO, yet plenty of people get hired remotely if you are special enough - hybrid schedules change all the time and are not a guarantee - good workers always "rewarded" with more work, because the good teams are overworked and understaffed, they are never rewarded with a raise, unless you work here a long long time (maybe) - promotions and raise structures / bonus structures only exist for some departments. if you work in a dept without one then you must beg for a raise or else you'll actually never get it - benefits continually get worse. it isnt a deal breaker yet, but old plans were better - PTO... good for some, but look at the fine print - execs will throw people under the bus any time they feel like you have made them look bad, dont trust them - communication from dept A to dept B is non existent, requires pulling teeth at least %50 of time

THE UPGRADE FAMILY

Pros

I have been a part of the Upgrade family for 3 years and do not plan on seeking new employment anytime soon. Upgrade offers an appealing benefit package along with great pay, which shows that they care for their employees both inside and outside of the workplace. It is also important to point out the culture inside the workplace. Management offers open and effective communication between the teams, which has helped me to express my thoughts and opinions, but more importantly, to ask questions without the fear of judgement or negative retaliation. Another element that keeps me working for the Upgrade family is that our successes are continuously recognized, which tells me that my work is being noticed and appreciated. I am currently going to school full time to obtain a degree in business and working at Upgrade has contributed to my studies by allowing me to contribute to the new hire training within my department, as well as creating and facilitating presentations. I am truly blessed to be working for Upgrade and highly encourage everyone to come and be a part of the Upgrade family.

Cons

I am unable to provide any negative feedback since Upgrade promotes open communication. With the high-performance culture that Upgrade fosters, I am completely comfortable with expressing any and everything with management and they have also done a great job with listening and acting on any occurrences that have been expressed with them.
