Pros

You will help students understand concepts more thoroughly.

Cons

the 16/hour posted is a MASSIVE deception. And when you think of it, this is NOTHING compared to the cost of living and current market rates for college tutoring. Closing in on a decade and 16/hr still hasn't changed. Any time that a student cancels (sometimes 1 minute before the session starts), you don't get paid. When a student no-shows (which happens all the time), you get almost nothing. No shows for THIRTY MINUTE or ONE HOUR appointments are compensated for 15 minutes. So between a last- minute cancellation and a no-show, you could waste two hours of availability for $4 and still not helped any students. They're using current knowledge of the tutors to build knowledge bases as information for AI, and manipulate their devotion to student success as a means to exploit and overwork/underpay them. RUN!!
