We appreciate your feedback on the pros and cons of working at Uptake. We take this input seriously. We are disappointed to hear about your negative experience in this area as well as your feelings on lack of work-life balance. We are always trying to boost employee morale and engagement with our monthly webinars and regularly provide resources surrounding mental health and general well-being. Our re-power hour, unlimited PTO, and flexible working hours are designed to give Uptakers the work-life balance they need to succeed in their personal and professional experiences. It has not been easy, but Uptake made tough calls in places we had to in order for the organization to continue building a company with a mission to serve our customers and industries worldwide. We’ve made very deliberate staffing decisions, including making several hires across the business, to align with the direction we’re heading in. The added focus, combined with having the right talent in place, puts us in a strong position to continue to grow and gain market share. We’re proud of the recent momentum of our Uptake Fleet product. With Uptake Fleet's predictive technology, our customers can avoid costly breakdowns and extend the life of their vehicles!

We appreciate your feedback on both the pros and cons of working at Uptake. Thank you for sharing your experience of our compensation structure; we continue to find ways to remain competitive in the market. We are disappointed to hear about your negative experience of not having enough visibility to upper management. Our leadership team has made tremendous strides in providing transparency and visibility within our organization. One of the things we are most proud of is Kayne’s CEO Updates that are done every Monday morning to the entire company; in addition, we have continued the cadence of our monthly All Hands.

Pros

Decent benefits, fast paced and somewhat collaborative

Cons

Revolving door of upper management in less than 2 years that doesn’t value top performers or their senior management. They promote and give raises only to turn around less than a month later to make those roles “redundant” or say “the business is going in a different direction”. This happened 4 times in the last 9 months.

We appreciate your feedback on both the pros and cons of working at Uptake. We take this input seriously. We understand confusion always comes with tough business decisions. It was not easy, but Uptake made tough calls in places we had to in order for the organization to continue building a company with a mission to serve our customers and industries worldwide. Like many companies at our stage, we've made some strategic shifts based on our ever-evolving market. We've made deliberate staffing decisions to put us in a strong position to continue growing and gaining market share.
