Location! Cost of living is low, crime is low, mountains on all sides, the skiing is amazing. Family friendly university - time off for family is easily arranged. Exceptional research across all depts.
Cons
Depends on the department you're in. Psychology Dept is not as collegial as one would hope; some pretty big egos competing more than collaborating. Typical academic politics across all depts. Salaries aren't gender equitable.
