Just OK.

Pros

Decent benefits and pay ranges. Not quite to industry leading corporations like Raytheon or Lockheed Martin.

Cons

Terrible leadership from top to bottom. Disorganized. Most leaders are on their own program and many are just "yes men". Strange reluctance to do things logically and efficiently, which keeps them in power. Terrible IT systems. Equipment is low-mid, takes days (sometimes weeks) for IT to resolve and close a ticket, and every system is contracted out to a separate contractor, none of whom are able to communicate with one another. I.e. The HR system is separate from the VPN system, which is separate from their email system, which is separate from the IT group that handles your equipment (phones, laptops, etc.). Red-tape and bureaucracy like no other. Endless approvals and requests for everything from a new phone to software to vehicles. The company regularly fails to make payments to their credit cards, leaving drivers stranded when their fuel cards are shut down unexpectedly. Constant changes to software. Updates that crash entire systems and wipe PCs.

Pros

Good pay and benefits for the most part. The job isn't hard, sometimes its busy, sometimes not.

Cons

Upper management is petty. A new supervisor got fired because he wouldn't give a door passcode to a manager that did not have an explosive ordnance qualification. This passcode is meant to keep unqualified people from having access to dangerous equipment; if you're not on the list of qualified people, you can't go inside alone. But because the supervisor was following the rules and refused to give the code, he was fired. Fired for trying to keep people safe... When a higher level manager came by to deal with it, also with the opinion that unqualified people should have access to explosives, he threatened to send workers home, without lay, for disagreeing with him. Safety is more worried about workers having an ink pen in your pocket, not explosives safety.
