      A place to start a career, but not long term.

      Pros

      You will be exposed to multiple disciplines and a divers workload. You will learn the manufacturing, quality, business and customer side of each product you work on. 4 day work week is also nice.

      Cons

      Politics and favoritism is rampant and turnover is high. Salaries are not competitive compared to industry standard and career mobility is limited. Resources are limited and expect to work longer hours and come in on off days.

      Pros

      VACCO cares about its employees and customers. While no company is perfect, people seem to try to the right things, the right way with the right attitude. We work on exciting programs from submarines to rockets and spaceships which makes the job interesting and rewarding. There is still a sense of a family feel here. People seems to enjoy having every Friday off. Sometimes weekend work is needed but it is better to work an occasional Friday or Saturday than Saturday and Sunday.

      Cons

      Most of the issues here are standard problems that are found at any company.
