Pros

Easy entry to veterinary field

Cons

Terrible pay Stressful Rude coworkers, managers, and doctors at times Terrible training to the point where I wanted to quit multiple times, CSR lead who is barely helpful and never up front when you need them, rude to clients and staff, gossips about everyone and clearly plays favorites. This hospital could be great with different management and employees who feel valued

VCA Response

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We take concerns about leadership behavior, respect, and psychological safety seriously, and we recognize how discouraging it can feel when expectations and support are not aligned. At VCA, we are focused on strengthening leadership capabilities across our hospitals through ongoing development, including programs like Crucial Conversations, to support thoughtful, respectful communication and a positive team environment. We also continue to invest in building strong care teams—prioritizing appropriate support‑staff‑to‑doctor ratios and developing our technicians so Associates feel valued and supported in their roles. Our goal is to create workplaces where people feel comfortable speaking up, confident in the care they provide, and supported by the team around them. Feedback like this matters as we continue to strengthen the Associate experience and care for those who care for pets.
