I like my own hospital.

Cons

Higher leadership (SS) is controlling and trying to micromanage things she doesn’t understand. So she will get an even bigger bonus? How can they think she’s doing a good job? She is so disconnected.

Pros

Technicians are cross trained usually so will help you if you need it. Can be a fun place to work at. Feels like a tight knit family.

Cons

Low pay. Some people in management are not welcoming of new people and will make your job harder. Clients are really rude here in particular. Management does not have good boundaries with rude clients.

Helping other staff was the highlight

Pros

Medical benefits were well done. Lots of educational opportunities especially for assistants/technicians/new grad doctors.

Cons

Some doctors are allowed to remain on staff as they are unable to hire more doctors due to market conditions. These doctors can be extremely rude to the staff and others, making work life unreal. In management, paid salary but routinely working 60 hours a week, with additional calls off the clock, and staff who contact at all hours. Also, no boundaries in terms of FMLA or time off. I was routinely contacted when on FMLA on two separate occasions not only by staff who reported to me but my boss as well. I have hours from several months ago, that I still have not been compensated for.
