Very fortunate that the company recognizes and encourages diversity, they also have incorporated the use of counseling services for their employees who may need it. This is a huge deal considering the higher than normal rate of suicide within the veterinary field.

Cons

For those of us that aren't licensed (LVTs), our job titles changed from "veterinary technician" to "veterinary assistant". I don't think it's fair nor does it embody the idea of equality to classify someone without a license, but has 15 years of experience and a bachelors degree, a lesser title that someone with zero experience but happens to be an LVT. Simply classifying someone as a "veterinary technician" or a "licensed veterinary technician" should be enough. Not all of us want to accrue more student loan debt for a two year associates degree that isn't necessary to do our jobs.
