      Pros

      You get a lot of hours, and pay is (usually) a little higher than minimum wage. Also, all the cats and dogs (and sometimes others) your heart can handle. Also, a lot of free lunches and great benefits for your pets! Probably the cleanest pet hospital I've been in, and there are a few sweet people I didn't mind working with.

      Cons

      The hours can also be a con. You're literally always there, which means you have no life. The higher-ups (techs and doctors), at least at the facility I worked at, had big egos. They tried getting us kennel staff to do anything and everything they didn't feel like doing, which included sending dogs to board in the kennel that DEFINITELY should not have been in the kennel. This included but was not limited to many dogs with anxiety problems and a dog POSITIVE FOR HEARTWORMS!!! The kennel staff does more, especially around the holidays, than most of the other hospital staff. Not to say that their job isn't important, because obviously it is, but I feel like if I'm doing hard labor for 9-12 hour shifts, I should be getting payed more than someone who sits on their butt and answers phones all day.
