Job security, virtually impossible to get fired. flexible schedule , great pet discount nice people to work with. Awesome meeting locations twice a year.

Cons

Lack of fairness / integrity of upper management. People are promoted based not on job performance but based on how much kool aide they drink. Free thinking and ideas are not encouraged.

Great discounts for your own personal pets if paid in full on the day services are received. Nice insurance benefits and 401k offers.

Cons

Ridiculous raises and mystery shopping other Vca animal hospitals. Hospital administrators are salary and often collect the check without earning it and delegating work to others.

Each hospital can practice their own style. No cookie-cutter medicine

Cons

Negative accrual is a joke. Basically end up in the hole if taking time off so no real PTO. Limited opportunities to advance beyond an associate if not board certified or in good graces of higher-ups
