Pros

VCU does have excellent benefits to include paying for 6 credit hours per semester at any school of your choice and your dependents (after you have been employed there for 3 years). Being that its a hospital as long as you get your foot in the door it shouldn't be too hard to transfer to another position.

Cons

Employees have to pay for parking. The downtown are where the hospital is located is very congested. The pay could be a lot better.

Pros

Employees who work here are very motivated, eager to teach, and eager to learn. Great atmosphere to be efficient and positive.

Cons

Parking is always a con in Richmond.

Pros

Excellent management, room for growth either with the Health System or the University side

Cons

Employees who've been there for 15,20, or 30+ years unwilling to keep up with technology and/or expectations of management can drag down an entire department. Low pay, which is hit pretty hard if you also have to drive to work and pay for parking.
