Their are a lot of pros to working at VEG but one sticks out the most. The entire company embraces new ideas and everyone is willing to try new things to make the organization better.

Great Company Revolutionizing the ER Vet Med Experience

Pros

VEG embraces a culture where they truly value not only their customers, but their employees as well. They put an emphasis on their teams' wellbeing, and have an easily accessible Employee Assistance Program that is available 24/7 to staff and their families. They have a very advanced vet med software in their hospitals that makes managing clients and patients a breeze-the software is super user friendly and easy to navigate. Innovation is endless at VEG. They are always looking for ways to improve and make each and every one of their hospitals better and more efficient. They are always open to hearing ideas from any staff member, and provide lots of incentive programs/referral bonuses and CE benefits(VetGirl, atDove, webinars). They also love to promote talented team members from within, and will teach you leadership and management skills as well.

Cons

Some hospitals are a bit understaffed, but who isn't nowadays.

Pros

Leaders truly lead with love and value building relationships with with team members. The director of my team appreciates my creativity and encourages me to take professional risks, question the process and be innovative. Working in VQ is awesome; I feel taken care of and above all appreciated.

Cons

Personally, none. I imagine for others it may be a challenge to create a work-life balance because we have flexible hours and work with VEGgies from 24 hour hospitals, but this is where having time management skills is very helpful. I do not feel any pressure to work long/crazy hours.
