It's a Job

Pros

It's a job and we get paid.

Cons

Make sure when starting you are aware of what you are getting into and ask a lot of questions. You receive little to no time off benefits, 80 hours of sick and vacation time pooled together that you can use for the entire year. Yiu also get zero floating holidays and are expected to work holidays if they fall in your working schedule, without getting a floating day off as a replacement. Good luck if you want time off and get sick in the same year. You will take FOREVER to advance so you will rarely ever see a raise. The program in place to advance is terrible. There is no incentive for employees to stay and no retention bonuses so turnover is very high and management would rather attempt to replace than try to keep employees. Leadership is absent, we run ourselves. You will never hear from corporate. All of the values the corporation has is just blowing smoke and for show, the company is a joke and the seattle location in specific is a sad, sad mess.

We deeply value our culture, so we're sorry to hear that your experience isn’t in line with the environment we aim to create here. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We also want every VEGgie to feel valued and fairly compensated. To that end, we look at our compensation program annually to ensure we’re equitable to employees and competitive within our market, and offer pay transparency as much as possible—even if not required by the state. We also do market studies to ensure our benefits are in line or better than the industry. If you have specific suggestions or concerns, please have a direct conversation with your manager, who will partner with our compensation department to address your feedback.
