curriculum already prepared. user friendly system. polite students. bonuses added to pay.

Cons

Chinese government has stopped VIPKID from allowing Chinese students to book classes at the end of this year 2021. Class cancellations.

Awesome flexibility, and able to work anywhere in the world. plus some very awesome students

Cons

the company was becoming too mainstream left-winged, unfair at times with IT issues mostly aimed at the teacher

Pros

I love this job. Almost all of the students are in China (I have been teaching for three years and had only two students who did not live in China... but they were Chinese!) and wonderful! Although they are still hiring, Chinese regulations have changed and the opportunities for foreign teachers to teach the Chinese students is no longer allowed. The parents who have already purchased packages are able to still use foreign teachers for now, but many suspect this will no longer continue by the end of the year.

Cons

There is no guarantee of hours. New teachers complain of no classes for months. No opportunity for a raise The Chinese mandates will end VIPKID as we know it.
