Pros

NOTHING AT ALL. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. SINCE WHEN DID COMPANY DESCRIBE A PHILOSOPHY.

Cons

All this company cares about is productivity. Should a patient and or family need some support or just a human touch of care, too bad. You have to get on to the next. And if you do stay, after all this is hospice, you will be reprimanded. ALL this company cares about is numbers. No room for emergencies, deaths, and just support for people in need. They are shady and will promise patients everything, but don't follow through. All they care about is numbers. I can't wait to resign.

Money-focused & a meat grinder attitude toward the employees

Pros

Starting salaries are competitive; Hospice care is a worthwhile mission in and of itself; Growth opportunities (mostly due to high turnover rates though) Local program staff are great people who care about their patients and their coworkers.

Cons

Corporate culture that shows little respect for the program level employees as a resource that drives the corporation's success; Corporate culture that does not value their employees; Poor work - life balance; Micromanagement of staff and a very "Big Brother" type of oversight; Top heavy corporate culture that relies too heavily on process; Unbelievably poor benefits package - only one plan that is high deductible, high cost; Low mileage reimbursement rate; Constantly understaffed due to high turnover rates, which means existing staff is expected to do the work of 2 - 3 people (most of the time); Frequent salary hike freezes; Employees are expected to work weekends and holidays; Corporate culture that does not trust its own employees to make decisions for themselves; Large, sluggish corporate administration that is slow to make decisions to urgent, local program market dynamics. Cost cutting culture has supplanted the patient-centric care model.

Pros

PTO, Grief and Berevement Counseling, working with a great team of nurses, HHAs and a Chaplain, and opportunities to earn CEUs at work.

Cons

Top down management, high employee turnover, questionable practices, lack of positive leadership, and high patient to nurse ratio. Poor employee retention adds to stress on the rest of the team.
