      Poor pay, absence of respect for and between staff, and a slew of other crippling problems - Employees work accordingly.

      Pros

      More often than not, patients and family are enormously grateful and benefit from VITAS services. Employees can leave work knowing they have made a strong impact in the world.

      Cons

      Incompetence, laziness, tardiness, and utter lack of proper professional etiquette plague all levels of staff and management. Majority of employees are ignorant of how corporations should function efficiently. Upper management opts to keep underlings in the dark on a wide variety of important issues of direct relevancy.

      Pros

      I was per diem so I chose what days to work. Some of my coworkers were nice and helpful.

      Cons

      Middle management did not act as good support system for nurse's needs in the field. Needed a better support system.
