Taken for granted, without any appreciation.

Pros

The only thing I can think of is the actual experience of being a hospice nurse. Although extremely challenging, it is the most rewarding work I have ever done.

Cons

Not feeling supported by management Working 3 weekends every month No advantage to having "seniority" No loyalty to employees Poor communication between mgmt and employee Minimal yearly wage increases Huge travel expectation w/o adequate mileage reimbursement Obvious discrimination by mgmt Unfair work practice

Pros

Good vacation benefits and some very dedicated employees

Cons

disorganized management, no career path for non-medical personnel, lack of established processes, little documentation for M&Ps, no formal training program for non-medical staff. Raises have been frozen 2+ years but sales just received new Ipads, Iphones and new applications to sign patient consents.

Pros

Job assignments to ONE patient, allowing older nurses to cope easier with the workload. They're paychecks always cleared, small as they were.

Cons

Scheduling of Per Diem employees is awful, very few shifts given. You will NEVER get a raise. You will NEVER get Health Insurance. In mandatory quarterly meetings employees are routinely insulted and treated disrespectfully. I was three times accused of neglect and verbal abuse when I was later proven to have done the the work in question ( The bandage was there, dated, and charted in the Nurses notes, and again when accused of saying something off color to the Client, it was later discovered to have been said by the Primary nurse who was also on site) Lastly I was openly called "stupid" in a quarterly meeting for asking a question about Time charting. ( I've never been called stupid even when I was in the Construction business in my younger days!) BEWARE, I guess there's some really inconsiderate employers out there these days, and Vitas is one of them
