They take care of staff well

Have seen them send tanker trucks to gas our cars & assist staff that lost homes when there was a hurricane. Provide emotional support options for this rewarding but difficult job. They have admitted charity case patients and provided the same great level of care provided to all patients. Although they are a “for profit” company they are far more generous in patient care than a “non-profit” religious health care system I worked for >10 years.

Cons

only let you carry 40 hours of PTO into the new year. Like many healthcare programs often short staffed. There are higher paying nursing jobs elsewhere. Night, weekend, holiday and on-call shifts required.

Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule. You set up what time you see your patient. You get 67c per mile you use in between patients. (Drive to the first visit and drive back home don't count.)

Cons

Paper charting. There is not an increase in pay going PRN. It's getting a LOT more micromanaged.
