It's a safety net organization, with employees who really believe in helping others who are less fortunate, and wouldn't get needed services without them. The benefits are excellent, especially for clinical staff, where health insurance is nearly free, and a defined benefit pension still available. Top performers with potential are identified and nurtured.

Pay scales reflect non-profit status. Low turnover may reduce growth opportunities.
