Pros

Location was great. Benefits moderate.

Cons

No after care support post full 15 week training. NO work-life balance. Must your life for company benefit. VSP expects you to support company with no life outside of the company. Not informed of complete job duties up front. Revolving door culture. All to companies advantage, hire prior to peak season of high-call volume (November - February) and than let people go once it moderately slows down, and than start the re-hire process again early fall.Political management environment. Management only cares about their year-end bonus and will do everything possible to make sure they get their bonus. Expect to go home everyday with fear and anxiety of losing your job.

Pros

The best part about working @ VSP is cake day and the All Staff Days! Free cake and free pizza! I believe that VSP is a great company, they care for their employees. The whole motto for VSP employees is "We have fun." They organize company events every year and the bonus check is an added perk.

Cons

Beware because this place is definitely high school. The entire call center floor is filled with old, depressed, miserable people who have no life whatsoever. VSP is all they will ever know. Sad. The calls are soul draining and more than likely, the calls will be back to back. The pay is horrible. They expect alot from you in Customer Service but the pay is definitely not at market rate. I WOULD WONDER IF VSP HAD SOME KIND OF "WELFARE TO WORK" program because the pay is so low. I could actually go down the road to another call center and make $20 an hour to start. Working in Customer Care is like the "bottom of the barrel" employees. I loved VSP when I first started but after a few years, my heart and soul wasn't into it anymore.
