Pros

- Colleagues were amazing to work with and passionate about what they did. - Decent benefits. - There was lots of opportunities to carve your own mark and take on exciting projects.

Cons

- Pay is below market, though they do a whole song-and-dance about the quality of salary. Getting a promotion involves PowerPoint presentations, and panel discussions with people who have no idea what you actually do. - Management has nothing in their 12 month goal beyond “being profitable”. If that means cutting out huge swaths of their workforce to do it, they will. Never mind that VTS has expanded rapidly since 2019 and the rollercoaster ride of priorities has meant that needed roles are now vacant. Individuals are doing 3x the work and shuffled to teams where they are expected to pick up even more slack. - CEO’s reason for telling employees to return to the office? “Because I f***ing said so” - For all of their talk of diversity and inclusiveness, VTS had no problem laying off a large amount of women and POC in 2023. It is entirely lip service. They pushed for more diversity and inclusion only when it suited them.

Pros

Great coworkers, made friends for life, healthy work life balance

Cons

The company has lacked transparency from the higher ups for a while. One minute we're meeting targets, next we aren't. We got an impersonal call from the CEO after the first round of layoffs that this was it and we wouldn't have anymore (taken with a grain of salt of course) . Surprise more layoffs happened shortly after. Teams are so siloed nobody knows what anyone is working on and why two companies that do the same thing were bought. I didn't have to RTO but felt for my coworkers who had to just accept this mandatory change without any consideration of their lives.

Pros

unlimited PTO/flexibility, cool people, good benefits. Really good work life balance for most roles.

Cons

Three layoffs (two pretty big ones) within the span of 12 months is incredibly embarrassing. Management and leadership would pride themselves on being so transparent and honest with our team yet when we sensed another round was coming amid work slowdowns, my manager acted like they had no idea what was coming only to be send me a mysterious zoom the next morning to be laid off. Obviously it’s happening industry side but the way VTS is handling it is so wild. CEO and other c suite making jokes about people losing their jobs and using profanity on a zoom when an employee asked a simple question. An executive trying to be “relatable” by saying they had to get a second apartment in Manhattan to be closer to the office as morale to work. Nothing VTS does anymore makes sense which is sad because it was a good and rewarding place a few years back. VTS really just became a sinking ship so fast after buying up companies and hiring like crazy and then having no money left. Got to work with some talented and cool people but the dying culture and truly baffling actions and decisions of the execs made my time at VTS turn sour toward the end. The NYC office space is also so loud with construction and small there’s barely any room for employees in addition to the worst snack selection I have ever seen at a corporate office. Also hoping these reviews don’t begin to “disappear” once the people or marketing team sees it like they have done in the past. I had a decent run at VTS but would not recommend to others on the job hunt.
