Pros

They offer a variety of flexible workspace options and have had the privilege of working alongside incredibly talented colleagues who have overcome many challenges.

Cons

I must express my concerns regarding the company. Unfortunately, they seem to have created a culture of underpaying their employees while simultaneously demanding perfection. I have noticed that they often hire managers who need more credible experience in their assigned department. In addition, some managers do not have a solid understanding of the products they oversee or choose not to acquire such knowledge. Seeing someone in this role and having less product knowledge than an entry-level is deeply concerning. Despite this, direct reports cannot provide managerial feedback and are frequently subjected to departmental changes. I have had numerous managers since starting at this company, so many that I have lost count. The company has been experiencing a high attrition rate, even before laying off employees throughout the year. The remaining ones had to hope that company loyalty and "meeting expectations" would be enough. Regrettably, it seems the company has been going in the wrong direction for some time now. I hope the remaining employees are treated with better kindness and fairness.

Pros

-Most people (director level and below) are among the hardest working, smartest, and most selfless colleagues I've had the pleasure of working with. -Stipends, Summer Fridays, unlimited PTO, and other perks made the work-life balance top-of-the-line -Most DE&I speaker events were well researched, well sourced, and those in charge of them did their due diligence to ensure these events were managed sensitively.

Cons

-Whether it is external or internal, every complaint people have about VTS can be attributed to one thing - a lack of direction. At a high level, major business decisions (acquisitions, layoffs, etc.) seem to happen on a whim. At a lower level, these shifts that are seismic to some director's teams simply aren't communicated or well forecasted. Client facing and objection management became increasingly challenging due to a lack of internal resources. -Everyone above the director level sees everyone below them as expendable and treats the wider team as such. -Commercial Real Estate is volatile and your success depends on the industry's success

Pros

Fun coworkers. Company is run by bros so the culture is pretty chill. Cool opportunities and lots of networking.

Cons

Absolutely out of touch leadership. When asked the reasoning behind going back into the office full time, the CEO said “because I effing said so” and he didn’t say effing. When some people brought up concerns about getting back into the office we were told to just rent second apartments that were closer to the office like some c-suite leaders do. We were also told we were the special ones after the company had a massive layoff and some leaders made jokes about how much room we had in the office now that those coworkers are gone. Classless. Also we could be paid more.
