      Pros

      ski time during work hours, flexible time off as long as its during the Spring or Fall. Its a laid back environment without the high stress levels I've had with other jobs.

      Cons

      no room for growth, the management does not outline a clear plan for career development. Do not expect to be able to take time off during Thanksgiving or December to travel and be with your family. Do not pay enough to live in a resort town where the mountains are located.

      Pros

      Ski pass, fun people, never growing up lifestyle, learning about guest service, recognition program, good leadership training program intact.

      Cons

      They don't care if you return for another season, corporate lifestyle so it's hard to make changes, corporate doesn't seem to care about their employees (or more accurately seem to be in their own bubble and oblivious to the situations of the mountain employees)

      Pros

      Vail Resorts has a great culture and does a good job with employee development. I feel like I learned a lot of valuable skills and developed as an individual enabling me to take the next step in my career.

      Cons

      Pay continues to be a problem and many employees have left taking valuable experience and skills to other organizations for some significant increases in compensation.
