They pay well under what other companies pay for similar roles

Nobody works here for longer than a winter and maybe the following summer if their mates stay. Our main manager was horrendous. She often fired people unjustifiably, but kept a few who were unreliable. It made no sense and made a lot of us feel on edge when she was around. We learnt early on that working hard is not rewarded and so by maybe Christmas time, most workers were massively slacking off. Constantly working with slackers makes you not want to work yourself. The blame can only be placed on the highest manager and the assistant managers. The supervisors were pretty good, (apart from one who sexually assaulted my friend but still got to keep his job, and they moved my friend to another restaurant instead). The assistant managers had no respect by the end for problems such as sexual harassment, favouring certain workers over others, and not working themselves. I only kept this job for the season because the main manager would take away staff accommodation for workers who wanted to change restaurants.
