Great Question- the pros is its a job

Let's see ..they call you family when you hire in. Then when parts of the country are being hit by a pandemic. They quickly decide that we are no longer an amenity provider and decide we provide an essential service. Every year the CEO stands on stage at kickoff meetings and preaches that we arent a trash company, but soon as they saw an opportunity to push the front line workers into the danger of collecting doorstep trash from 1.4 million unknown illness doorsteps-- they jumped right on it. BOOM we are now once again a trash company and they even lie and go as far is to say we are providing a "public health service". Not how you treat family.

Our District Managers have a challenging job and it’s true that working at Valet Living isn’t for everyone. We are all facing a very difficult time as we deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. Our leadership team has taken a proactive approach to ensure the safety for all our associates during this time. Shady Business, Gatekeeping me from Unemployment

Autonomy and schedule were great.

Cons

First: this company offered a great wage, so good I quit my other job and worked with this company solely. Then: after several months they attempted to reduce the money they were paying me. I declined the pay cut; instead of parting ways they maintained my “employment status” with 0 hours on the books. This effectively gatekeeping me from even applying for benefits while I look for a new job. 2 months later they still refuse to remove me from their employee roster. My manager was extremely disrespectful throughout my employment.

Related to your comment on pay, we are working hard in this area and consistently evaluate the pay rate for our part time Service Valet position to ensure we remain competitive in each of the markets we serve. We recognize the additional cost associated with using your own truck (e.g. gas) and therefore pay a higher hourly rate for those associates that use their own truck for collection. We appreciate everything you do for us.
