Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your continued dedication to Valet Living. We appreciate your acknowledgment of the physical benefits of the role. We understand that handling unpleasant and heavy trash can be challenging. These aspects of the job are inherent to trash collection and our recruiters are diligent about communicating the working conditions during the interview process. Upper management's directive to pick up all trash, regardless of its condition, is part of the essential duties we all take on to ensure our service remains thorough and reliable. While the work can be physically demanding, it also provides a valuable service to the tenants and helps maintain the cleanliness of our communities. Your efforts contribute significantly to creating a better living environment for everyone. Your feedback is important, and we are always looking for ways to support our employees better. Thank you for your hard work and commitment and don’t hesitate to reach out to antonio.fiorentino@valetliving.com with any suggestions or ideas on how we can improve this part of the job for you.

Pros

I loved my job and working with and training my employees. They do for the most part allow you the freedom to run your own dhow as long as you are hitting your goals that is. And honestly, even if you aren't in my experience.

Cons

I spent most of my time on & with the valets because as a valet I had little if any contact with my manager and he was, Not the most encouraging or helpful as the company brags career advancment opportunities are everywhere. Not so much if you do a great job as they don't want to loose their work horses. So, let's just say, not totally about grooming you for management or greatness or even helping you succeed. Only wanted to be sure the tasks were completed and no complaints and your goals, not a concern for him. You messed up, even if not your fault, and you were moved and replaced at existing property. So 3 years in, when I finally was able to become a District Manager, in a different city and i believe only because another woman gave me the opportunity, for a job I was more than qualified for with my resume and 6 months in easily showed I could handle responsibility, I decided I would be exactly the opposite of him and be there for my employees and show them how a real manager should be worried about their welfare & safety and be available nightly, not maybe once a month, unless he needed you for extra work. I thoroughly enjoyed the position and I was more than qualified and excelled from day 1 with my management and with my emplyees. Brought my district up from the very bottom to the top in a year. The problem was that I ha e been a regional level manager for most of my adult life so when I had a question I asked it, as they encourage, however, wasn't ever allowed to finish the entire thought before I was shut down as for most of my important questions, about following my bonus to keep track ect, we're never answered and we're never addressed so you pretty much have to count on them following through with what they tell you and you have no way at all to monitor your own bonus ir ve sure when things were not supposed to be considered due to company issues, therefore hurting you, there was no way to look and be sure they did what they said they would and it didn't count against you in any way. I mean even the best if us make mistakes and when you are talking about money, a person should be able to find out how to watch it even as motivation, but nope you just take their word for it and take what you get. Even if it looks like you should have received 100% but you received zilch. Too bad. I feel companies should be transparent when it comes to these types of things. There is also a lot of clicks. If your new to the company be prepared, depending on your work ethic, to have difficulties if you are a woman.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your commitment to Valet Living. We're glad to hear that you appreciate the consistent schedule and that the work becomes more manageable as the week progresses. We understand the frustration caused by team members calling in on heavy days, which places additional burdens on others. Finding and retaining reliable employees for part-time positions can indeed be challenging, especially given the nature of the work. We strive to hire the best candidates and support them as much as possible, even though part-time roles often see higher turnover. Your insights are valuable to us, and we appreciate your dedication. If you have any further suggestions or ideas on how to improve some of your concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to antonio.fiorentino@valetliving. We thank you for the hard work you do and appreciate your dedication.
