Tough at the individual branch level

Pros

Decent pay for the role, okay vacation time, part-timers are basically asked to work full time hours (this is a pro if you need the hours). Really great flexibility if you are in school. Branches are a great way for someone going through school to gain real work experience

Cons

Very black and white in terms of robotic customer service. Greet every customer with the same phrase when they walk in. Almost no room for growth when in a branch. Most people sit in a role for many years

Pros

Based on experience from other banks, Valley is more laid back.

Cons

Old technology, slow follow up from processing/underwriting

Unorganized

Pros

Most branches close earlier than traditional banks. Allows you time to to other things.

Cons

Systems aren’t competitive neither are the products yet an assistant is still expected to hit individual goals with little support. Lots of favoritism and lack of organization.
