Pros

They really do invest in their employees. They have a great intranet, and their e-learnings are solid. They encourage a work-life balance, which is rare in this industry.

Cons

They are a little bit slow to adapt to new technologies. Also, the work environment is a little stiff - people need to have more fun. Lighten up a little

Pros

At vanguard you will be working with very nice, approachable people. The access to Vanguard University and their learning and development programs are great ways to develop professionally.

Cons

Very conservative. Need to wear a suit and tie four days a week despite lack of face-to-face communication with clients.

Pros

Benifits are nice. 401K match is great. Leave everyday at 5 sharp. They get you your series 6 and 63

Cons

Management is pathetic. We are micro-managed to the fullest extent. I have been there for over 2 years and see no opportunity to move up in the company, even though I have great stats and play their "game." Management will try to intimidate you and make you feel like you are pretty much in prison. It is almost as if they read some type of sweatshop for dummies book. In a nutshell, Vanguard is a great place to put on your resume if you can put up with their nonsense for long enough. If you dont have the guts to stick with them for at least 2 years, dont both applying.
