      Exciting company headed in a good direction

      Pros

      I love my team. I get the support I need in my role, have flexibility to make changes and do what's best for my direct reports, and have the resources available to be successful. I think the compensation and benefits are competitive and the company doesn't feel too big (impersonal, feeling like a number) nor too small to lack resources. What we do is pretty cool, as an added bonus.

      Cons

      None so far. All roadblocks feel like they are actively being addressed, and the future seems bright.

      Still in choppy waters

      Pros

      The team that I work with is awesome. Generally speaking, my coworkers and direct management are easy to work with.

      Cons

      Some micromanagement with different Supervisors. Mentality of upper management and overpromising leads to crunch mentality that benefits nobody. Minimal career progression unless you make lateral moves within the company. You are hoping and praying for fair advancement within this group. Pay is lower on average at Maxar as a whole, and you feel it in this role as well. No bonuses, and raises are tight due to recent sale of company to private equity.
