Pros

The cause - It is super motivating when you know what you do impacts cancer treatment.

Cons

Low pay. Politics by employees who have been at the company forever. Untrustworthy HR. No reward for hard work.

Pros

Great mission, great benefits.

Cons

Based on the horrible management culture in the staffing organization, I would recommend staying away from this department. If a culture of being lectured to, belittled, and living in a constant state of paranoia is what you want, then the staffing group is for you. It's a shame really and turnover has increased in HR. Somewhere, someone will thank me for writing this review. As a long term HR BP at Varian, I can't stay quiet any longer and must share.
