Pros

Great company with good corporate culture. What Varian produces helps to save lives and ease pain and suffering, very satisfying work.

Cons

As another reviewer stated, it seems to be the vocal loudmouths who get the attention and rewards, regardless of the merits of their ideas. Varian is definitely a company where schmoozing and politicking is a pre-requisite to recognition and advancement.

Pros

If you enjoy cruising through your days at work, you can pull it off with the right manager. That's a plus right?

Cons

To move up the corporate ladder you need to be a loud mouth, dominating all others in the room. It doesn't matter if everything you're saying is garbage, as long as you say it with conviction, you're all good. This is what annoys me.

A lot of opportunity for growth. Excellent corporate culture and respect for employees. Motivation to contribute and work, since their products advance Oncology treatment.

Cons

Poor infrastructure. No young hires.
