Pros

Q1 CRM, Evals, Upsells rinse and repeat Q2 CRM, Evals, Upsells rinse and repeat

Cons

Varonis may be your last Cyber Security job as they have been heavy handed in their enforcement of Non Compete clauses within the Employment Contracts. Its not unusual for these to be in place but it is unusual for an employer to send "cease and desist" while your seeking new employment post Varonis. During the reference check process Varonis will find out whom your seeking new employment with. Before you receive an offer letter they will send a letter blocking you from receiving or getting an offer even after completing every other step in the recruitment process. In essence forcing you to change career's. Forget about what you may get from signing your employment contract with Varonis. Consider what they may be taking away from you (your ability to make a living in a field you've spent your professional life in) if you choose to join. The compensation plan is below industry average and is setup where you will never reach your OTE goal and you will never be able to reconcile if you get paid on an specific opportunity If your looking for your manager to develop your skills as a SE you would be better served to look elsewhere. This is not the place to find that mentor. Your manager is a task driver that's it. There is no opportunity for personal growth and the only education you get is the boot camp for new hires. You'll get product training but professional development is nonexistent.

Pros

New grads will get to see how an enterprise software company goes about its business. More seasoned executives, maybe, can learn a few things here as well. It's a good experience to see how a minimally viable security software product attempts to find a market, and then watch marketing and sales strategies reversed and then reversed again. You'll be immersed in the modern metric-based approach to growing software so it's a good opportunity to learn this strange language. Telecommuting is a definite plus! And you can develop your own niche.

Cons

The place is riddled with very inexperienced and barely competent managers who were brought in to make the place appear to have a functioning infrastructure. They grew too fast and it shows! "The fake it till you make it" philosophy is very much in force here. Expect to have your ideas stolen and your work minimized as you help managers meet their goals and achieve more stock. Pay raises are small, and the employee review process is a mess.

Pros

I wanted to write this review to talk about some of these old reviews. I'm reading through these negative reviews from last year and the year before and I don't see what these reviews are talking about, which tells me the company is listening and improving. The TSE position prides themselves on taking someone who knows jack diddly about a computer and be able to teach them everything they need to know to be successful. Is there customer interaction that needs to be monitored closely? Absolutely. Why? Because the company has one of the best customer satisfaction rates for support service. When you do a good job, you get told you're doing a good job. It is a different experience than what I'm used to. Here's a list of some pros I can still attest to: *Fully stocked kitchen every single day (I don't have to pay a dime for breakfast and lunch) *Able to collaborate freely with any associate within the office. Everyone has the attitude of, "I've been there and I feel you, let me help you succeed like someone else did for me." It's awesome. Everyone wants everyone else to be successful. *Benefits are practically unbeatable. I have never seen a package so frickin' good. And the benefits start from DAY 1. Not 30 days in, not 90 days in, DAY 1. *Time off accrual begins after the first pay period. How cool is that?! Every where else is after 12 weeks of complete full time. Here's the thing. There is a lot of information to be taken in within a short amount of time. The company is growing, and they are learning. They start every training group with that it is going to be different than the last. Because they want everyone to succeed. The only way you can be successful in this position is if you want it. If you want to put the work in AT work and maybe at home, depending on how quickly you work and comprehend the material. Is it a confusing course? Yea it is, but its to teach you to collaborate. You will never be successful by working by yourself. If you expect to be an expert on every part of this product, you might as well give up. If you don't understand something, as the question. You don't ask, they assume you know. Ask as many questions until you fully understand what you are asking.

Cons

The starting salary is low. But the extra benefits you get help out greatly. An extra $150 a month to cover cell phone/internet/home phone helps with the bills.
