      Good Company. Islands of information, hard to get help.

      Pros

      First and foremost, Varonis truly has a good product. It is something I stand behind and don't have an issue with selling or installing. There are many positive attitudes in this company that are focused on improving and getting to the next level.

      Cons

      1) Training and Education. Varonis have a lot of training material and documentation but almost no one to help you digest or prioritize it. The product does many things and trying to learn each one can be quite difficult when there is no priority outlined or any real teaching source. 2) Management. My management team is young. They consist of really great people that I personally get along with and like. However, they are not very good managers. They will be one day, but that isn't today and that doesn't help me today.

      Pros

      New grads will get to see how an enterprise software company goes about its business. More seasoned executives, maybe, can learn a few things here as well. It's a good experience to see how a minimally viable security software product attempts to find a market, and then watch marketing and sales strategies reversed and then reversed again. You'll be immersed in the modern metric-based approach to growing software so it's a good opportunity to learn this strange language. Telecommuting is a definite plus! And you can develop your own niche.

      Cons

      The place is riddled with very inexperienced and barely competent managers who were brought in to make the place appear to have a functioning infrastructure. They grew too fast and it shows! "The fake it till you make it" philosophy is very much in force here. Expect to have your ideas stolen and your work minimized as you help managers meet their goals and achieve more stock. Pay raises are small, and the employee review process is a mess.
