A Company That Values Its Employees and the Populations They Serve
Pros
Company has good values and mission and strives to be very transparent. Most roles can be remote from anywhere in the U.S. Contracted by the state of N.C., so employees get State benefits like the retirement plan. Vaya has made significant progress in staff diversity since I began, though of course there's a long way to go, as with most large companies.
Cons
It's growing so quickly that it struggles to keep fully staffed, which puts a lot of pressure and extra work on current staff. This also means less time and attention from managers and generally a less personal and convivial work environment than when I started there five years ago. However, this experience can vary greatly from one department to another based on each department's Manager.
