Pros

some people are decent, but you won't find the majority of them in leadership roles

Cons

The most nepotistic company I've seen. They say they value their people, but they dispose of them like used hankies. Seen some great people come here leaving good opportunities, only to leave booted out in disgrace and humiliated. The leadership at this company likes to pretend to care, they like to say certain words, but if you don't "kiss the ring" you won't get far. I've seen people that we're lured to leave their opportunities, and if they are not liked by certain higher-up, they are gone.

Pros

-Nice little perks such as little gifts being sent to your house. -Able to work from home with a flexible schedule.

Cons

-Unrealistic sales goals that greatly increased during a pandemic, making it hard to make goal and receive bonuses. -Company recorded highest revenue in sales in their history, while stopping 401K contributions, blaming the pandemic. -Not offering raises to employees in 2021, yet goals still greatly increased. -Employees are very micro-managed -Leadership wants results without offering the help employees be set up for success. No tools provided to increase success.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. We carefully consider all reviews to see where we can improve and continue to make Vector Solutions a great place to work. The health and safety and mental well-being of our team members has been a top priority during this challenging time, so we’re glad to hear that our swag surprises and flexible working arrangements have helped bring some positivity while adjusting to life during the pandemic. COVID-19 and the subsequent economic crisis forced many industries and businesses to pivot quickly and re-prioritize projects and budgets. Vector and its customers were no exception. While the company did take some steps to protect our team members jobs and operations, including a temporary pause to 401k contributions, we are confident that those actions allowed Vector to remain stable and successful throughout the year while also setting us up for a strong start to 2021. We are also very optimistic that the precautions we took will allow us to move forward with planned merit increases and career opportunities in 2021. Despite last year’s obstacles, many employees were able to not only meet their goals, but exceed them - it was great to recognize these team members during our National Sales Meeting in January. Speaking of NSM, our Executive Leadership Team and Sales Leaders spent a lot of time reviewing 2020 and setting the stage for how to be successful in 2021, specifically outlining helpful tools and strategies to help team members meet and exceed goals and make this our best year yet.

Pros

Friendly work environment, decent health and 401k benefits, flexible work hours.

Cons

I work in Content Production at the Utah branch of Vector Solutions. While my experience working at the company can be fun with the casual and friendly work environment, however, there's sadly little to no upward career momentum, at least in terms of specifically video production — which isn't helped by the fact that the pay is considerably low compared to industry average in the state, even with benefits and swag the company hands out on a recurring basis. If you're placed in a particular position, you're usually stuck there; even when you voice an interest in another position in the department to managers. Company likes to talk big game about quality content, but the Utah branch's tendency to cut corners in production values, as well as responding slow or hesitant to invest more earnestly in resources and manpower (shoots are constantly operating on under-resourced skeleton crews, even pre-COVID) to that end gives the impression of lip-service to said aspirations. Plenty of employees working in the content department in this branch are experienced filmmakers/videographers, but often our feedback to upper management (who on average are not as versed in production) feels neglected. Despite the friendly work staff, it's very clique. Utah is a small branch, but often feels like the step-child compared to its other, larger sister branches, and to HQ in Tampa.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback, and value your talent and contributions to the Content Team as well as to the overall company. Creating quality award-winning content is one of Vector's hallmarks, and creating content in an efficient manner is something we pride ourselves on. We recently implemented an organizational change within our Content department that has aligned teams by function in order to balance our video production efforts and make them as resource-efficient as possible for the future. While the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to reimagine how we currently accomplish our filming events, we are incredibly proud of the work the team has done to deliver high-quality content for our customers, including critical COVID-19 resources. We are optimistic that the changes we are implementing now will help us become even more productive as we are able to safely return to a sense of normalcy. At Vector, we frequently review our salaries, benefits, and career paths for all employees - and are always looking for ways to capture employee feedback so that we can make improvements. Career paths provide our team members a vision into their career at Vector, but we do realize that career progression sometimes does not happen as quickly as some team members would like. Working closely with our HR department, we find that career conversations are an effective and constructive vehicle for understanding where an employee wants to take their career. These conversations are designed to align team member desires with a career path at Vector, and allow employees and managers to discuss both short- and long-term career goals. For the team member that left this comment, As Vector begins the year with our annual performance reviews, we encourage you to continue the conversation with your manager to align on your career expectations. Thank you for being a valued member of the Vector Team.
