Pros

-Flexible work hours -Great products that are making an impact in the Health Sciences world, especially in times like these -Tuesday lunch -Free snacks and beverages -Smart and considerate colleagues -Great office location, right next to King Station, and comfortable walking distance to Union -Veeva Generation (2 Year development program for new grads) -Line of job promotion if you work hard and are a great team player -Sizeable Yearly allowance on educational material like online courses, textbooks -Great amount of RSU's

Cons

-Workloads can fluctuate rapidly at times -Growing occurrence in recent years of specs changing last minute, growing lack of communication between management and employees -Workplace environment can vary between teams. Veeva Toronto has been expanding rapidly in recent years; the creation of new teams has resulted in many new office cultures, some of which have been negative. Generally the older teams like Veeva Network are known to have better workplace environments. -Tuesday Lunches have decreased in quality in recent years. -Majority of recent new hires seem to be only young professionals/new grads

Pros

In general, it's a awful company and limited grow for anyone's career, too much politics, mangers care more about themselves and their territories, no tactical vision, and don't want to support employees growing.

Cons

Terrible managers, inexperienced team members, overtime work and low pay... The products Veeva built were terribly bad, still using old school' technologies, can't make them more sucks. Only reason it still worked is the medical companies want to spend money and there're not much serious competitors in such vertical sector.

Best Decision of My (Work) Life

Pros

Ever seen the video from Dan Pink about motivation? The one about Authority, Mastery, and Purpose? Google it - Veeva is like that. Autonomy: You are the “Captain of your Own Ship” but we have strong enough team spirit to help each other out. Mastery: You can learn about the industry, consulting, programming, and the product, gaining skills and experience which triple your value on the market - oh, and there is no such thing as a non-compete, because our CEO doesn’t believe in it. Purpose: What you do matters; what you think matters. Your everyday actions ripple across the company and the customers. People contribute (from their own time) and Veeva doesn’t take it for granted. People do get recognized, and given opportunities to help shape the future of the company and the industry. Coming to work here was the best decision of my life - I’m actually looking forward to Mondays.

Cons

Veeva is “Pressure makes diamond” or “Sink or Swim” type of company. Nobody is going to hold your hand while you walk up the stairs. You have to ask for help (which is provided in abundance) and you have to want to become better because of your own internal drive, otherwise you won’t succeed.
