      Pros

      They provide a lot of paid for activities for you to partake in - most of them are tied into health. Free Ski trips, and golf tournaments, family apple picking outings, etc. They also had a lot of kitchen perks: Free fair trade coffee, tea, organic fruit, random snacks, milk, and so on. Most of the employees are incredible people to work with and are really skilled at what they do.

      Cons

      Senior management was always doing re-org's, and changing processes what felt like quarterly. promoting people before they were ready. There was a lot of favoritism in promotions. They would promise growth in careers and then underdeliver if you were not favorited. COO loves micro managing - on a level I've never seen before, and that seems to be acceptable to them. There were a lot of gray areas when it came to work life balance, because they offered a lot of activities and HR encouraged a healthy work life balance, but management expected you to remain available to them at the drop of the hat, no matter the hour of the day.

      Great work life balance. Competitive Pay. Good benefits. Guaranteed yearly raise

      Cons

      The people who are bad at their job are not forced to get better, drags alot of teams of good people down

      I love working at Velir

      Pros

      Interesting and diverse work assignments, friendly coworkers, small teams, lots of social events, clear and straightforward career paths with a lot of opportunity for growth and excellent guidance

      Cons

      The resourcing isn't always done well - Sometimes developers are pulled off of a project before that project is finished, shifting it to other developers who have to figure it out from the ground up rather than having the people who started the work see it through to the finish
