Started out great, lost enthusiasm for the place

Pros

If you enjoy the foosball atmosphere and bro culture you'll probably fit in here. Some neat perks like free food Thurs/Fri, social committee plans some events, etc. Some interesting problems being solved.

Cons

Very easy to feel like an outsider. Raises are not transparent, firings with no cause, etc. Cliquey. If you don't fit in prepare to feel like you are intruding. Hugely obsessed with themselves, can't seem to go a day without being informed by management how great the place is. No real feel for direction, and the Friday meetings often felt really repetitive.

I am especially sad to hear that you feel like an outsider and that we were unable to convey our vision and transfer the excitement. If your status is indeed correct, and you truly are still employed at Vendasta (and only say this because your use of the past tense "felt") please reach out to me or Jean. Great company to work for.

Pros

Great open culture. There are no real barriers preventing developers from getting to do the type of development they want to do.

Cons

There's too much fluctuation. There isn't enough time spent on a single product. It often feels like doing patch work bouncing around different parts of the application.

Pros

The team is energizing and fun to work with. The products we are creating are great and getting better every day. It does not even feel like going to work because it is so engaging, challenging and fun. Everyone works together well and you feel like you can make a difference in the department, company and community.

Cons

I have not had any cons or negative things to mention about working with Vendasta. The whole experience has been great.
