While we appreciate you taking the time to share a review, I’m disappointed to hear that your takeaways from your time on the team were so negative. We aim to staff communities appropriately to meet prospect and resident needs and with individuals who have the skills and traits needed to thrive in a career with us. We’re not accustomed to seeing many reviews of this nature, so I’d really like to encourage you to provide a little more insight into your specific observations. Even as a former employee, you can anonymously submit concerns to us via EthicsPoint (https://secure.ethicspoint.com/domain/en/default_reporter.asp), and you’re more than welcome to connect with me directly by phone (905-717-8264) or by email (rroos@venterraliving.com), if you’d prefer. Having a few additional details could help prevent our current or future employees from feeling the same way you have. Thank you again for the feedback and in advance for any additional information you might be able to provide.

Pros

The company has a lot of great employees. The benefits are good and thet take time out to have fun.

Cons

They focus on a new employee experience. They dont focus on employees who have been with the company long term. If you are on a new acquisition you will get about two days of support and then will probably continue to remain short staffed. The company has lost touch with what truly happens on site and doesnt care to listen to your challenges. There is no support system. I didnt feel valued as an employee or a Manager.

While we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts here, I’m disappointed to hear that you had a number of negative takeaways towards the end of your time on the team. Whether an employee is walking into a community for their first day on the job or celebrating a ten year anniversary with us, our aim is for Core Values to shape their experience for the better. Providing employees with the resources and support they need by asking for their feedback, taking it to heart, and acting on it is a critical part of doing so. While initiatives like our Leadership Survey, Better Way program, and ongoing candid and open communication is intended to help in this effort, we understand we can still fall short from time to time, as it sounds like we have with you. To help prevent our current or future employees from feeling the same way you have, I’d like to connect with you to discuss your specific experiences in more detail. Please reach out to me directly by phone (905-717-8264) or email (rroos@venterraliving.com) so we can discuss. Thank you again for the review and in advance for taking a bit of time to give us a better understanding of how you feel we can improve.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences here at Venterra. While I’m happy to hear that we were able to meet a number of your needs while you were working with us and that you have a positive outlook for Venterra as the whole, I wanted to respond to your other comments directly, as it’s very important to us that each of our employees has an amazing experience in all aspects of their career at Venterra. While expectations are definitely set high for our employees, we aim to back those expectations up with the training, support, and communication needed for them to be realistic. Additionally, bullying of any type is unacceptable at Venterra and will not be tolerated. To prevent that in our workplace, we use a third party company called EthicsPoint that provides anonymous reporting. In addition, our annual employee survey is another way we collect anonymous feedback directly from our employees through a third party. Any confirmed reports of this would be dealt with swiftly as this is directly opposed to our core values. We pride ourselves on an open, friendly, and positive work environment where employees are excited to come into work every day. If you are open to a discussion about your experience, please do not hesitate to contact Bridget Sherrod or myself (Richard Roos). We would love the opportunity to explore this matter further and ensure that we have the work environment we are striving for. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and helping us build a better Venterra.
