Thanks for your feedback. So glad you appreciate our product(s) and people. At Veracyte we value the full diversity of functions and talent it takes to make a successful enterprise. That said, the departments that may appear to be in the limelight at any point in time vary based on a number of internal factors, including the evolution of the company, product lifecycle and time of the year, as well as external factors impacting the business, e.g., the economy, competitive landscape and technology advancements—similar to most organizations. However at all times our colleagues in every function can “make a name for themselves” by exceeding performance expectations and exemplifying the behaviors that make for a winning team. All the best, VP, HR

Great Company

Pros

- Small company with a lot of talented and motivated employees - Great products that really make a difference and save patients from expensive, invasive diagnostic procedures - Good work/life balance - Management is supportive and receptive

Cons

Professional development and career advancement are the responsibility of the employee. Your manager is your coach but the employee is responsible for identifying their career path and utilizing their manager as a resource. This is not necessarily a con, but may not be the right fit for all job seekers.

We appreciate your taking time out to highlight some of the things on which we pride ourselves at Veracyte. Regarding career development: people who see opportunities and make things happen are most likely to thrive in our entrepreneurial culture. We recognize that everyone’s unique and so must chart his/her own course. To this end, we create regular opportunities for employees to share their career aspirations with their managers and to seek the feedback, support and resources they need to work toward them. Beyond that, our open door policy creates opportunities for employees to discuss career paths and opportunities with managers across the organization. Again, thanks. VP, HR
