Pros

Some employees and supervisors there are really nice and assist you the best they can. The CEO Diana is really nice, only spoke to her twice but she gives a good honest vibe that feels like she is genuinely a nice person.

Cons

Lack of important documents for new employees(Terms with definitions, schedules, bips and more) most of the information given is word of mouth. I was told different information from a mixture of people which caused a lot of friction and made me look like I was doing a bad job. Its never good being trained different from multiple people. GOSSIP is a HUGE problem there, Im 100% sure Im being talked about just like when I started the techs there including a BCBA spoke poorly about a former employee. I even walked in on a few gossiping about me from team coordinator/bcba to other people in other departments who I don't even come in contact with at all. When you start they will show new employees a video training on gossip which the employees clearly don't care about. Majority of the employees there are in school for ABA so if your new to the ABA field expect to be talked about, it felt like working with a bunch of teens in high school. It was hard maintaining professionalism while hearing employees speak badly about some new techs just because they didn't have any experience. There was a lot more red flags and uncomfortable situations; however, I do not feel like typing it all. Hope this review helps.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we regret that it was not up to the standards we strive for. At the time of this review, our training program was in a revision period and it’s clear that our new staff that joined the company during that time were not properly supported. BCBAs apply extensive training on-the-job (which may not have felt like training—we strive to create mentors, rather than “bosses”) through daily and weekly supervision, and our seminar-style “bootcamp” training course was re-instated in August. The new training program includes numerous documents, training manuals, and a library of resources and research that new ABA Therapists can consult to help them on-the-job and with their RBT training and exam. We wish that you would have come to HR to voice your concerns and let us know that this was happening. We believe it's critical to create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for our staff and clients.

Decent pay..

Pros

Decent pay compared to other local ABA places.

Cons

Communication between higher ups and techs does not exist. Was told one thing about cohort when being hired, then after being hired the cohort situation was completely different. Have to be in the cohort to be given any opportunities. Expect a lot from you but give minimal office hours.

Thank you for your feedback-- please consider stopping in to your supervisor (or even the VP of Operations) office to share it as well, as we do truly care about addressing these concerns. While our cohort does get some special growth opportunities, eligibility for promotion to Lead Therapist and Team Coordinator only requires enrollment in a BACB-approved program. ABA Therapists are the backbone of our company, and we appreciate what you do for your clients every day to change their lives for the better.
