Pros

~a supportive leadership team that encourages critical thinking and idea generation from employees at all levels ~the entire company supports and encourages employees with time off - I had a personal situation that popped up unexpectedly and I had to be off work for almost an entire month. My entire team rallied around me to keep my work going, encouraging me to take the time I needed - when I came back, I was never made to feel guilty for the time, my progression was not held back, and I picked up as though I had never left ~There is an unprecedented "team first" mentality across the entire company. Conflict resolution is always focused on that - resolving the conflict. There is very little personal politics or ego getting in the way of the bottom line - finding solutions that drive success for our clients and the business itself ~Pay and pay transparency is extremely reasonable ~Dan (the CEO) is quick to recognize when a strategy is not working. His biggest strength, beyond his care for his employees, is that he has no ego. He is committed to the success of the company - not just the bottom line, but its ability to grow, care for clients, and care for employees. He does not put his own personal agenda into play

Cons

~As with any company, strategy changes can impact staffing - startups can be more susceptible to this as they are still trying to "figure out" the best approach to maximize their market, but within this con, VergeSense always does its best to care for employees while also focusing on improving business trajectory ~At startups (and I've worked at a few), you may have to wear a few hats - while this can sometimes lead to a bit more work, it provides professional challenges that, if you're up to, will provide exponential personal and professional growth ~ This is still a relatively new market - there are growing pains and ebbs and flows with a market still trying to figure out how badly it needs/wants what VergeSense offers - for some people, this may create anxiety with the security of their job, but as you settle in, you come to realize this is simply part of a start up with a great outlook, but one still grounding itself as the unquestionable market leader

Pros

- Current business seems to be doing great. New business is growing each quarter and customers are regularly expanding - the HW + SaaS is working well. - Market leader - We're leading the occupancy intelligence space and have a lot of ways to grow as a company. - Product roadmap is agile and team is open to exploring new solutions, products quickly.

Cons

- Distributed work force. There are some team hubs, just wish they were all in the same place. Fortunately there is investment in onsites.
