Pros
The best reason to work for HarlandClarke is the people. We have some of the most knowledgeable and talented people in the business. The way individuals work together to benefit the team is incredible. There is one common goal and everyone wants to be a part of it. We are always developing new ways of doing things better all while building stronger relationships with our internal and external customers.
Cons
The only downside I've seen since the Harland / Clarke American merger has been the way corporate keeps the different groups apart almost as if to silo them. While with Harland one of our strongest attributes was our ability to work together, HR, Production, Development, etc. would all work equally on major company initiatives. Where we now as HarlandClarke can sometimes have Production working on the same thing and Developers and not know it. It becomes rather frustrating to not know what's going on right next door.
