paycheck, 401(k), compensation benefits, etc.

Cons

Non-responsive and clueless management, excessive visa abuse, limited career opportunities, disrespectful communication amongst and between co-workers and management, depressing employee morale, inadequate recognition for jobs well done - unless you are a member of a power clique. In summary, a totally dismal place to work.

Pros

Great team, from bottom and up. Diversity of skills with professional willing to share the knowledge. It is a place where there are lots of career opportunities for growth within your dept or within other organizations. The management had bi-yearly reviews and promotions where fair for all.

Cons

None, if you are prepared to be a consultant. You have to learn to communicate well with your manager so he knows what is going on and can help you progress in your career.

Pros

You will have name recognition when you go out for your next job interview. Verisign did accomplish at least one thing correctly in that they created a brand name that is recognized, at least within the security industry.

Cons

Highly political environment. Incredible dishonesty both inside and outside (customer facing). Felt constant pressure to get with the program even though it felt dishonest and just plain wrong.
