      “Terrible Company To Work For”

      Pros

      Good co- workers but because of all the changes they are emotionally disengaged with their jobs.

      Cons

      Talented employees are leaving on a regular basis. Sought after candidates are not interested, because Veritiv is not a stable company. Management is incompetent and can’t fix the problems. The company has lost over a billion dollars in sales since the integration. Managements way to fix the problem is to create fictitious price increases, set unrealistic goals for Sales Reps so they can terminate them. Micromanage people to death because they have no trust in there employees so they can justify their own jobs.

      Thanks for your review and service. We certainly are disappointed that you were dissatisfied with your tenure at Veritiv. The reason we mention the integration and the strategy because that is THE reality of Veritiv. When combining two legacy companies, you have to expect many levels of consolidation to create new efficiencies. The work can be long and arduous and create fatigue, but it is creating a stronger foundation for this young and growing company. While sales have fluctuated in the past, the truth is that sales have been growing since 4Q 2017, although we certainly want them to grow even more. Unfortunately for the industry, price increases have not been a story of fiction as you wrote but a real-life factor in packaging, facility solutions and print. The Veritiv Journey is moving into a new phase of its strategy to optimize our processes to make working with and for this company a much better experience. For many, this is an exciting time to be at Veritiv.

      Pros

      Decent benefits, provide good laptop and not too much micro-management. Great place to work if you are buddies with upper management.

      Cons

      Very little support from management. They only take care of their buddies. They would rather lose business from prospective leads than give those leads to someone who can develop them. High pressure to sell with no direction or leads or specifics at all, unless you are buddies with upper management...

      We appreciate your review. We are disappointed that you feel that your input is pointless, but Veritiv strives to put opportunities in place to gather input. This includes the quarterly employee call, where our CEO herself - along with her senior leadership team - take questions and concerns directly from employees. Our new Continuous Improvement Program or CIP also offers opportunities for our colleagues to come up with new, innovative ideas for Veritiv. In fact, it has already led to the implementation of hundreds of new ideas at our company.

      Downward spiral

      Pros

      Getting fewer by the day. At the moment limited to being paid promptly.

      Cons

      Company continues to slash jobs everywhere except Atlanta, GA and Loveland, OH facilities. Employees with 10, 20, 30+ years with the legacy companies are being let go in favor of new hire, bachelor degree only college graduates. These employees are being trained only a fraction of the job function once performed by a single employee. The trainers are often new hires of less than a year's service themselves due to exceedingly high turnover in the Georgia location. Management refuses to comment on or address the turnover when questioned at meetings. Morale across the country is dismal and many employees are just waiting for the call that their position/department/location has been downsized to meet "synergies".
